With its brushed brass surface and clear glass elements, the design of the chandelier recalls the monumentality of the Met’s fluted Ionic column, which once stood 58 feet tall at its original site. This chandelier combines ancient history and modern luxury, illuminating your space with a touch of elegance and sophistication.

HISTORICAL PROVENANCE The Imperial chandelier is inspired by a marble column (c. 300 BC) from the Temple of Artemis at Sardis, a highlight of the Met’s Greek and Roman art collection. The massive section of a fluted Ionic column, which stood over 58 feet tall at its original site, features delicate leaf carvings on the capital— a unique characteristic among the temple’s surviving columns. This chandelier features elegant fluted elements in homage to the column’s details and is crafted from clear glass with a brushed brass finish.
