Light escapes the physical boundaries of the fixture and attempts to contain them, tracing the ultraphysical outline of the object by casting a circular halo. This collection, designed by Timo Ripatti and developed by Axolight, is the means by which the company turns to the world of design to present its concept of light. Hence the name Manifesto. Axolight collections are packed with cultural references - most recently the clear abstractionist and Neoplasticist inspiration of Manifesto - and are distinguished by stylistic boldness and aesthetic balance. In Axolight's vision, the lamp body represents the physical extension of the design, while the light represents the "ultraphysical". Never before has this concept been as centered as in Manifesto.
