With the creation of Bul-Bo, a playful, ironic and functional lamp was created, in perfect harmony with the climate of "rebellion against conventions" that would have left indelible marks on fashion in the second half of the 1960s. 50 years later, Axolight proposes this iconic lighting object once again, introducing contemporary elements into the philological respect of the original design

"To create the new Bul-Bo, a lamp that is already patented - explains the Axolight team - and to apply modern materials and production processes to it, we found it important and crucial to resort to an extremely emotional maieutic exercise, which led us to reconstruct the design thinking of the creators of the work. Having given a second life to a lamp that is so important to the history of modern design - which remains incredibly strong, non-conformist, free and revolutionary fifty years after its first release - makes us proud, enthusiastic and enriched". "In developing the new Bul-Bo, Axolight set itself the goal of recreating an object that is outwardly faithful to its original form, but capable of fulfilling its modern lighting function".
