LED technology

In lighting technology, the term describes the decline of luminous flux in LEDs. This process normally occurs extremely slowly and only becomes noticeable after a very large number of operating hours for old LEDs. The service life specification of 50,000 hours for LEDs takes degradation into account: Although the light-emitting diodes shine longer, their luminosity is noticeably lower after more than 50,000 hours of operation. read more

LED technology - the future?

LED technology is already very advanced, but not yet to the point where floodlight halogen lamps can be replaced. Even if it were possible in the short term to place LEDs in the form of a halogen rod in such a way that cooling and light emission are guaranteed, the luminous fluxes currently possible are too low. At present, very good LEDs can achieve luminous fluxes of around 60 lumens per watt. read more
