The luminaire designer Leonhard Bopp attended the Nicolaus Kistner High School in Mosbach in northern Baden-Württemberg. After his school career, he initially took a completely different professional path and studied pharmacy at the Julius Maximilian University in Würzburg from 1978 to 1982. It was not until he joined the Bopp Leuchten company in 1985 that he said goodbye to being a pharmacist, came into contact with luminaire design and from then on dealt with it intensively. Today, Leonhard Bopp is still the managing director of Bopp Leuchten GmbH, headquartered in Limbach in the Odenwald.
